Title Sequence Evaluation

At the start you said what success would look like to you – were you successful (explain)?

I would say that I was successful with the outcome of my title sequence, I personally think that my title sequence also came out better than I expected it to come out as well. Like I said for me success would be if I liked the outcome as well as other people liked it. Everyone that I showed it to, said they enjoyed it and that it was really well made and came out will well too.

What was the hardest part?

The hardest part about the whole creation of the title sequence beside the whole creating an idea side, I would say it would definitely have to be shooting the shots that were planned and making them actually look how I wanted to. In general, just making the title sequence look how I planned it to look was the hardest part as at some points I thought the idea I had for a certain shot wasn't going to be achievable.

What was the most enjoyable part?

The most enjoyable thing about the whole project, was definitely creating the title sequence and creating what I had in my mind and seeing my idea come to life. I also definitely enjoyed learning a few new skills in premiere pro as well.

How was looking at other title sequences useful (2.1)?

The way that looking at other title sequence was useful was that I could get inspiration from other title sequence that are in the same genre as my series that I made as well as if they have a similar context as mine. From looking at others I could figure out what things are good to use and what isn't for example what colours would be the best to use.

How hard was planning your work to meet the deadline (2.1)?

Personally, I would say that planning my work to meet deadline was only hard at the start as I didn't have clear idea on what I will be doing and that made the planning hard as I was falling behind a bit, as soon as I finally got a clear idea on what I want to do, the planning from there was pretty straight forward and easy. I didn't really stress too much with falling behind or possibly not meeting the deadline.

What changes to your workflow could you make in future projects to improve your outcome?

I would say that the only minor thing that I would change to my workflow for future projects would be to try and finish at least 2 or 3 days before the deadline to have a few days to review all my work and make any last minute changes that I could see, this time I finished day before the deadline so didn't really have a lot of time to go over and review it and see if there would be any changes that I could make.

How could you improve your presentation skills (get feedback if you haven’t yet)?

The way I could improve my presentation skills would definitely be by talking slower and with more confidence as there was moments where stress kicked in and I kept stuttering and didn't really know what to say, as well as due to stress I was speaking extremely fast and finished it pretty quickly.

Who would you say is the target audience for your animation (consider: age range, gender, interests)?

The target audience for my title sequence  will be  people that  are aged between 16-25 as I think it be the most effective and successful in reaching young teens/young adults. The gender that my title sequence is aimed  at will be all genders; male female transgender etc. As my series isn't gender specific and doesn't focus on only one gender. When it comes to interest I will be  targeting  people that also enjoy watching action/crime series and have watched previous series like Bodyguard.

When we’re talking about audience theory is there a theory that you could relate to your own title sequence, perhaps in terms of how you’d hope an audience responds, or whether you could bring in an element of representation?

My series is about a terrorist causing major damage to the city meanwhile the London Police try and determine who the criminal behind these attacks is. My audience theory is aimed at people that have caused these attacks in the past and show to them that the only person it really destroys is the person that caused the attack, as well as showing them the damage that it really causes and trying to change their mind.

How successful were you at evidencing your progression and work as you went along?

I think I was extremely successful at evidencing my progression, each lesson I uploaded a plan for the lesson as well as proof of the work and the review of the plan, saying if I managed to achieve everything I planned myself and what I plan to change next time.

Which elements of what you did might be useful to you in your FMP?

The elements I will be using that will be useful in my FMP will be using premiere pro and editing as I will be making an E-Sport documentary and will need to edit a huge amount of clips. I will also need to time manage really well and that is something I did well on this project too.
